Obwohl ich es mehr als alles andere hasse mich irgendwo anzustellen, irgendwo zu warten und mich freiwillig auch nur ann\u00e4hernd einer gr\u00f6\u00dferen Menschenansammlung zu n\u00e4hern, stehe ich hier nun geduldig in einer mehr als langen Menschenschlange mitten im Marais. Genau in diesem Viertel gibt es zwar gef\u00fchlt an jeder Stra\u00dfenecke Falafel in allen Formen und Farben, in gr\u00fcn oder orangefarben, rund oder flach, \u00e4gyptisch oder libanesisch, im Pita oder Fladenbrot\u2026
\nAber nicht hier! Diese kleinen wohlgeformten, goldenen Kugeln aus p\u00fcrierten Kichererbsen sind weit \u00fcber die franz\u00f6sischen Landesgrenzen hinweg sogar in der fernen Heimat Israel bekannt und auch nur die hier, d\u00fcrfen sich stolz mit Empfehlungen bekannter Pers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie Lenny Kravitz r\u00fchmen.<\/p>\n

Ausgerechnet in der Stadt mit den 134 funkelnden Michelin-Sternen, der Weltmetropole der Gourmetszene, dem Geburtsort der Haute-Cuisine, genau hier macht dieser kleine Falafelladen seit 1979 von sich reden. Von einem israelischen Einwanderer er\u00f6ffnet, kreiert hier das selbstgekr\u00f6nte \u201eL\u2019As du Fallafel\u201c (zu deutsch \u201eDas Falafel-Ass\u201c) seit mehr als 20 Jahren frittierte Falafel-Tr\u00e4ume mit einer perfekten Komposition aus gebratenen Auberginen, Gurken, Rotkohl, Tomaten, Humus und Tahini \u2013 das ganze umh\u00fcllt von warmem Pita-Brot, frisch aus dem Ofen. Das wohlgeh\u00fctete Geschmacksgeheimnis liegt Erz\u00e4hlungen nach in einer geheimen Kr\u00e4utermischung, die direkt aus Israel importiert wird.
\nNeben dem Stra\u00dfenverkauf gibt es auch ein kleines Ladenlokal, in dem man mit etwas (oder etwas mehr) Gl\u00fcck ebenfalls einen der begehrten Sitzpl\u00e4tze ergattern kann \u2013 die Platzdeckchen aus Papier, Pappteller und Einwegbesteck passen zum Charakter des lauten und trubeligen Interiors.<\/p>\n

Ich werde aber \u00fcberzeugt, dass die Open-Air Variante die leckerste und scheinbar auch beliebteste Variante ist und so halten wir endlich zwei wohlgef\u00fcllte T\u00fcten mit der hei\u00df begehrten K\u00f6stlichkeit in der Hand. Die Falafel sind ein Traum und die gebratenen Auberginen einzigartig! Umso trauriger, wenn eine der kostbaren frittierten Kugeln von der Gabel rutscht, in Zeitlupe auf die Stra\u00dfe rollt und vor den eigenen Augen in einer weiteren Slow-Motion Sekunde vom n\u00e4chsten Passanten plattgetreten wird\u2026Lachflash inklusive \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Tipp: auch wenn das \u201eL\u2019As du Fallafel\u201c mittlerweile alles andere als ein Pariser Geheimtipp ist, so ist es aber definitiv ein \u201eMust-Do\u201c. Das (Geschmacks-)Erlebnis rechtfertigt locker jede Anstrengung, M\u00fche und Energie!
